Skillet Bake Recipe

This skillet bake was a hit with our family and MaMa says it was pretty easy to make too!  You could add just about any veggies or meat that you think would be fun.  It's a really flexible recipe.


3/4 c all purpose flour
3/4 c Joseph's Grainery Soft White Wheat, ground in your blender to a coarse flour
1/8 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
dash of sea salt
3 Tbsp butter, softened
1 c water


1 large apple, cut into bite size pieces
2 c potatoes, but into bite size pieces
1/2 c feta cheese
2 Tbsp craisins
1/2 of an onion
2 cloves of garlic
1/2 tsp sea salt
2 Tbsp lemon juice

Directions:  Preheat oven to 425 degrees.  Place dry ingredients in a bowl and cut in the butter, then gradually add the water.  Put aside.  Over medium heat saute the filling ingredients in olive oil for about 5 minutes.  Place in a cast iron skillet and then pour batter over.  Bake for approximately 20 minutes.  Remove from oven and serve as pie slices.
