It's National Blueberry Pancake Day!

Happy National Blueberry Pancake Day to you!

Yep, that's right.  It's National Blueberry Pancake Day!  And guess what kind of berries we paired up with our Joseph's Grainery Multigrain Pancake Mix to celebrate the occasion?

Yes, blueberries, of course...after all, MaMa tells me it can't be National Blueberry Pancake Day without blueberries.  But they aren't just any blueberries, they're Driscoll's blueberries!  Don't they just look absolutely mouthwatering?

But MaMa and I think they'd taste even better mixed up in Multigrain Pancakes in honor of today!  So here's what you'll need...

1 small pkg of Joseph's Grainery MultiGrain Pancake Mix (or approximately 2 c if you have the larger bag)
1 1/2 c milk
1 egg
1 - 6 oz pkg of Driscoll's Blueberries

Directions:  In a medium bowl, thoroughly mix together the pancake mix, milk and egg.  When your pan or griddle is nice and warm, using your 1/4 c measure, pour the batter onto the heated surface.

Now here's how you make sure you don't get blue pancakes...

Don't add the blueberries until you've poured the batter onto the pan!  Gently place the berries in the forming pancakes and wait for the pancakes to ready themselves for flipping.  You'll know they're ready when the bubbles begin to pop and the pancake looses it's sheen.

Why do MaMa and I like Driscoll's blueberries for our Blueberry Pancakes?  Well, Driscoll's is a family owned farming operation...just like we are!

The only compensation we received from Driscoll's were coupons for berries to make our blueberry pancakes.  We really do like Driscoll's Berries!
