Chocolate Chip Bars

Coming down off of our Holiday sugar high, we had a little craving and needed something sweet, so we tried these chocolate chip bars.  They hit the spot and were very easy to make!

1 1/4 c brown sugar
1/3 c margarine
2 eggs
1 1/4 c Joseph's Grainery Hard Red or Soft White Wheat Berries, ground into whole wehat flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 c chopped nuts
1/2 c chocolate chips

Directions:  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grind 1 1/4 cup Joseph's Grainery Wheat Berries in your blender until it is a stone ground flour consistency.  In a bowl, mix brown sugar, margarine and eggs.  Blend in flour and baking powder.  Fold in the nuts and chocolate chips.  Bake 30 minutes in a greased 9x9, cut into bars and enjoy.
