Applesauce Jumble Cookies

Have you finished your holiday baking yet?  If not, here's another yummy cookie recipe!


Ingredients:

1 1/2 c Joseph's Grainery Soft White Wheat, cracked to a fine consistency using a blender.
1 1/4 c all purpose flour
1 1/4 c brown sugar, packed
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
3/4 c applesauce
1/4 c butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 c walnuts chopped
Directions:  Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Mis thoroughly all ingredients except glaze.  Drop dough by into tablespoon balls approximately 2 inches apart onto a baking sheet.  Bake 10 minutes.  Place on cooking rack and spread with browned butter glaze.

Browned butter glaze:  Heat 1/3 c butter over low heat until golden brown.  Remove from heat, blend in 2 c confectioners sugar and 1 1/2 tsp vanilla.  Stir in 2 to 4 Tbsp hot water until spreading consistency.
