Wheat Banana Bread

Need a last minute hostess gift for Thanksgiving?  Have some bananas that are a little too ripe?  Problem solved!


Ingredients:
  • 3/4 c cooked Joseph's Grainery Soft White Wheat, cracked (you can crack in a blender prior to cooking)
  • 3/4 c milk
  • 3 Tbls vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 2 c flour
  • 1 Tbls baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbls vanilla
  • 1/4 c chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 c walnuts, chopped (optional)
Directions:  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Combine milk, oil, egg,vanilla, bananas and sugar, once blended add wheat, flour, baking powder and salt.  Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.  Pour into a lightly greased loaf pan.  Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
